Megan Carter
The Counseling Hub | Columbia, MO and Jefferson City, MO
My name is Megan Carter, and I’m the Client Care Coordinator with The Counseling Hub, a group counseling and therapy practice in Columbia Missouri.
I’m your point of contact if you…
want to know more about individual counseling and therapy;
are interested in Gottman Method Couples Therapy;
have general (or specific) questions about couples therapy or marriage counseling;
are ready to move forward with your first therapy session;
want to know what to expect from individual counseling and therapy;
need a safe person to ask questions to about the therapy process;
have a question about rates or payment;
want to know what the process of counseling looks like;
have questions about a specific clinician from our team.
More often than not, folks still feel some sort of shame in reaching out. One of the reasons Tara founded The Counseling Hub was to diminish that sense of shame, to normalize the fact that all people struggle in some way during their lives, and to empower people to grow and heal in their own unique way.
The Counseling Hub is all about connecting, growing, and healing.
I’m here to provide any and all information about our counseling and therapy services. My goal is to make sure your questions are answered without judgement, to listen openly to any concerns you may have, and connect you with the therapist that will be the best fit for you!
Four Fun Facts About Megan
I love music and dancing.
I took dance classes from the age of 4 and haven’t stopped dancing since! I enjoy performing in musicals. I like dancing at concerts. Even just putting on music at home and dancing around the house (by myself or with a friend!). Most days, dance is my preferred form of meditation.
I love animals.
I have an adorable dog named Layla. I also foster kittens and cats through the Humane Society. It can be difficult letting them go once they are adopted, but I know that means I get to offer a temporary home to another. Layla loves the cats we foster, but she is not a fan of other dogs. So, unfortunately, we’re unable to foster dogs right now.I am a yoga teacher.
However, I don’t particularly like the term teacher. I like to think of myself as more of a guide. We each have our own personal journey in life, and that includes our yoga journey, if we so choose. I am simply there to provide knowledge and assistance as one practices their yoga.I’m a plant mom.
I started with a succulent that a friend gifted to me. Since then, I have accumulated more plants than I can count! There is at least one plant in every room of my house that gets sunlight. My favorite part is seeing a new baby leaf or baby sprout!
